Primary or elementary education is the first stage of compulsory education, it is preceded by pre school or nursery education and is followed by secondary education. It is compulsory for children to receive primary education in Thailand. The transition to secondary school or high school occurs at about 11 or 12 years of age.
Teachers are carefully screened here in Thailand for all levels of schools and generally most of the international school the teachers are from abroad, mainly British, American and Australian.
A wide range of university entrance qualification is available at Thai upper secondary International schools, reaching from IGCSE A and O level over US American high school diplomas.
Documents required for enrollment are usually copies of:
- Parents & Childs passport
- Birth certificate
- Previous school records
An application fee is usually required by most schools, however it does not guarantee acceptance to the school.
